In this week’s episode we chat with premier Australian Football referee Kate Jacewicz. Kate began refereeing at the age of 13 after her brothers’ team needed one. Since making her way into officiating Kate has refereed at the highest levels including Australia’s W-League, A-League, the FIFA world cup and Olympics. Kate talks of her love of the game as a player, coach and referee and how important clear communication is between officials and players.
